Our Accessibility Commitment
Shiora is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for all users, including people with disabilities. We continually work to improve the user experience and maintain compliance with accessibility standards. Everyone deserves equal access to health technology.
Standards We Follow
We strive to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA standards. Our accessibility efforts include: semantic HTML structure, ARIA labels and landmarks, keyboard navigation support, screen reader compatibility, color contrast compliance, resizable text without loss of functionality, and alternative text for images.
Accessibility Features
Visual: High contrast mode, adjustable font sizes, screen reader optimization, and no content that flashes more than 3 times per second.
Motor: Full keyboard navigation, no time limits on interactions, large click targets, and voice control compatibility.
Cognitive: Clear and simple language, consistent navigation, error prevention and recovery, and progress indicators for multi-step processes.
Auditory: Captions for video content, transcripts for audio, and visual alternatives to sound alerts.
Assistive Technologies
Our platform is tested with: JAWS and NVDA screen readers, VoiceOver (iOS/macOS), TalkBack (Android), Dragon NaturallySpeaking, various browser zoom and magnification tools, and switch navigation devices.
Ongoing Efforts
Accessibility is not a one-time project but an ongoing commitment. We: conduct regular accessibility audits, include people with disabilities in user testing, train our team on accessible design practices, and review all new features for accessibility before release.
Known Limitations
While we strive for full accessibility, some third-party content or legacy features may not yet meet all standards. We are actively working to address these gaps and appreciate your patience.
