Our Ethical Foundation
Shiora was founded on the belief that technology should empower, not exploit. Our Code of Ethics guides every decision - from algorithm design to partnership agreements - ensuring we remain true to our mission of transforming women's health responsibly.
1. Patient-First Principle
The health and wellbeing of the individuals we serve always comes first. We never prioritize commercial interests over user safety. Our recommendations are based solely on health outcomes, not financial incentives.
2. Algorithmic Fairness
Our AI systems are designed and tested to be equitable across all demographics. We actively work to identify and eliminate bias in our algorithms, recognizing that women's health has historically been underrepresented in medical research and AI training data.
3. Transparency
We are honest about what our technology can and cannot do. When our AI provides insights, we clearly communicate confidence levels and limitations. We never overstate capabilities or make unfounded health claims.
4. Data Dignity
Your health data belongs to you. We treat it with the respect and protection it deserves. We never monetize personal health data through sale to third parties. You have complete control over your information.
5. Inclusive Design
We design for all women - regardless of age, ethnicity, socioeconomic status, ability, or geography. Our products consider diverse health needs and are accessible to users with disabilities.
6. Scientific Integrity
Our health content and recommendations are grounded in peer-reviewed research and clinical evidence. We maintain an independent medical advisory board and regularly update our systems as medical knowledge evolves.
7. Responsible AI
We develop AI thoughtfully, with human oversight at critical decision points. Our AI augments healthcare - it does not replace the human judgment of medical professionals or the autonomy of individuals in their health decisions.
8. Environmental Responsibility
We minimize our environmental footprint through sustainable technology practices, energy-efficient infrastructure, and carbon offset programs. Health includes planetary health.
